Mount Evelyn fire brigade has celebrated over 70 years of protecting the community. We are now looking towards the future by building on the last 70 years with up to date appliances and equipment and training.

We are working in partnership with the community to make Mt Evelyn a safer place to live.

SERVICE AWARDS NIGHT

Last Saturday night 17th JULY the Mount Evelyn brigade, friends and supporters headed up the hill fo a great night out at the MaryBrooke Reception centre for the brigades service awards.

Glen Sharp and Kristian Gruppetta were awarded  10 year service medals Alan Plose 20 years  and Barry Peers 40 years

This year the Firefighter of the year award was named in honour of our fallen comrad Bernie Doolan who passed away this year, so it was a very special honour for the recipient Rick Ventrella who was awarded the 2010 award. Rick has won the firefighter award twice which is a fantastic effort, well done  Rick 

We also have a Captains award of encouragement which was presented to Michael Camm for 2010. Congratulations Michael and Rick from all at the brigade
