As part of the framework, each summer CFA run education programs to inform residents of the need to be prepared and how to get started. These are delivered, free of charge, in high bushfire risk areas. The programs are "local community and street corner" meetings and Community Fireguard.
Local Community Meetings
These meetings are held in community halls or on street corners and leading up to summer a calendar of activities showing where meetings will be held is advertised through letter drop flyers, local newspapers, sign boards, and on this website. Look for a meeting in our area...
The meeting dates will be posted closer to this summers fire season 2010 if you require more information to the lead up, you may get in touch with the brigade BASO or contact either the shire or CFA district head quarters see link below

Community Fireguard
Local communities can also establish a Community Fireguard group and to get started a meeting is generally held in a resident’s home with neighbours invited to attend. Tell me more about Community Fireguard
